Prezzo strikes deal to serve Gelupo ice-cream

Italian restaurant group Prezzo has reached a deal with chef Jacob Kenedy to serve an exclusive range of his Gelupo brand of ice-cream in its restaurants.

Kenedy, who runs the Gelupo gelateria in London, has won acclaim for his ice-cream and sorbet.

Prezzo will serve a variety of flavours, including amaretti, banana stracciatella, hazelnut gelato and cherry sorbet.

It will also offer the Gelupo gelato burger - a toasted brioche bun filled with two large scoops of ice cream (pictured).

Kenedy, who perfected his gelato after travelling through Italy, won two stars in the 2013 Great Taste Awards (organised by the Guild of Fine Food) for three Gelupo flavours.
