Three-Michelin-starred Spanish chef Quique Dacosta will launch his paella-focused restaurant Arros QD in Fitzrovia next month.
Dacosta earned three Michelin stars with his self-titled restaurant in Valencia in 2012. Other sites under the chef's portfolio include the one-Michelin-starred El Poblet, and the more casual Mercatbart, Vuelva Carolina and Llisa Negra; all in Valencia.
His latest outpost will focus on paellas and other rice dishes while utilising wood-fire cooking techniques. Menu items include paella Valenciana - the region's traditional dish with rabbit chop, chicken and butter beans - as well as smoked Welsh duck breast, morel, black trompettes and porcini aÁ¯oli chapas, named for the trays in which they are cooked.
The 140-cover, 9,000 sq ft site has been designed by Barcelonian studio, LÁ¡zaro Rosa-ViolÁ¡n, and features an open kitchen and four distinct dining areas spread across two floors.
Dacosta said: "Bringing our tradition and gastronomy to one of the main capitals in the world, both generally and gastronomically, is an exercise of commitment and responsibility which fills me with excitement."
