Raymond Blanc plans London restaurant

Chef Raymond Blanc has revealed plans for a fine dining restaurant in London.

The chef and TV personality holds two Michelin stars at Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons near Oxford, and has now set his sights on a similarly high-end establishment in the capital.

He said that he was close to securing a site and that some of the produce for the new venture would be supplied by his kitchen garden at Le Manoir.

Speaking to the Evening Standard, Blanc said: "I am going to open a restaurant in London very soon. It's truly exciting.

"For a long time I have wanted to, and it is going to happen."
