Real Eating Company to open eighth site following £190,000 loan
Helena Hudson is set to open an eighth Real Eating Company restaurant and café in Gunwharf Quays, Portsmouth following a £190,000 loan from peer-to-peer lending platform RateSetter.
Having previously worked in advertising, Hudson opened her first site in Brighton in 2004 after spotting a gap in the market for an independent restaurant and café business which supported the local economy.
The finance has helped the company consolidate existing loans, which were taken out to fund the opening of two earlier outlets, and provided additional funds for the new purchase. With an annual turnover of £2m, Hudson plans to continue to grow and double the number of outlets.
