Restaurant Group on target for a strong year
The Restaurant Group - operator of the Frankie and Benny's, Chiquito and Garfunkel's brands - has announced a strong set of interim results with an increase of 3.5% in like-for-like sales so far this year.
The company, which operates more than 410 restaurants and pub restaurant, said that with a strong performance in September and October, it is on target to meet its expectations for 2012.
During the 43 weeks to 28 October 2012, the company has opened 16 new restaurants, all which are performing well and set to deliver strong results.
A second Coast to Coast restaurant - the Restaurant Group's American themed brand - opened at The Gate in Newcastle in August, with a third launching in Stevenage two weeks ago. All three Coast to Coast restaurants are trading strongly and the company expects to have five in the brand by the end of the year.
Across the group, a total of between 26 and 29 new restaurants are expected to open in 2012.
