Robert De Niro's New York restaurant owes staff £166K in overtime

Robert De Niro's New York restaurant has come under fire from the US Department of Labour for having allegedly cheated its restaurant workers out of $328,000 (£166,000) in overtime pay.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, employment officials claim that more than 100 staff at Nobu in New York have had their overtime pay wrongly calculated.

The restaurant, which De Niro co-owns with Japanese chef Nobuyuki Matsuhisa has now apparently been ordered to make up the shortfall.
