Robuchon teams up with Aubaine owner

The group behind South Kensington restaurant Aubaine has bought the former East@West site in London's Covent Garden.

Aubaine has been trading for only nine months as a restaurant, boulangerie and pâtisserie.

The fledgling restaurant group has recruited three-Michelin-starred chef Jol Robuchon as executive chef for the new project, which will be called L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon when it reopens in February next year.

The group's owners plan to open another three to four restaurants over the next 18 months.

Robuchon has also signed a deal at New York's Four Seasons hotel. The property's restaurant will be renamed L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon
in spring.

He also opened two new restaurants in the MGM Grand hotel, Las Vegas, last week.
