Sales at Hard Rock Café up

Sales at Hard Rock Café grew 4% in the 48 weeks to 25 November.

Owner Rank Group said food and beverage sales at the company-owned sites rose by 5% and merchandise sales grew by 1%.

In its casino division, turnover was flat at Mecca UK sites, the result of a 6% growth in spend per head but a 6% fall in admissions.

At Grosvenor Casinos, turnover grew 3%, with admissions up 9% and spend per head down 7%.

The company added that it has been granted six new casino licences in the year to date, with a further four applications submitted.
