Sam Harrison to launch west London restaurant in 2019

Sam Harrison, former owner of Sam's Brasserie in Chiswick and Harrison's in Balham, is to open a new restaurant and bar in February 2019 at Riverside Studios in Hammersmith, west London.

Overlooking the Thames, Sam's Riverside will be a British brasserie-style restaurant offering all-day dining from breakfast through to lunch and dinner.

The 90-cover restaurant will house a bar as well as an additional 40 seats outside for al-fresco dining and a 16-seat private dining room.

Sam's Brasserie which opened in 2005 and Harrison's which came two years later were both sold to Hawksmoor's sister brand Foxlow in 2015. Since when Harrison has been planning his London return.

He said: "Sam's Brasserie was a very important part of my life for 10 years, and I made many friends among the local clientele. I was eager to return, so when the opportunity arose to collaborate with Riverside Studios on the amazing new restaurant space, I was thrilled."

Riverside Studios has been in Hammersmith since 1933 and is currently undergoing a total redevelopment due for completion towards the end of 2018.

It will comprise three large theatre/studio spaces for television, theatre, dance, opera, music and comedy, a 200-seat cinema and screening room, as well as a local community space.
