San Carlo to open Cicchetti in Qatar
Restaurant business San Carlo Group has signed a franchise agreement with Al Jaber Hospitality and Catering Group to open a new San Carlo Cicchetti in Qatar.
The 150-cover restaurant and bar in Shoumoukh Towers, a prestigious mixed-use development in the heart of Doha, will open in August 2015.
Carlo Distefano, chairman of San Carlo Group, said: "We are very excited about our latest venture and look forward to expanding the Cicchetti brand into the world's richest country."
San Carlo Group operates 16 restaurants throughout the UK, including Cicchetti, Manchester and Cicchetti, Piccadilly and Covent Garden, London. The group also has an international portfolio with Cicchetti, Bangkok and Signor Sassi, Kuwait. Further overseas openings are planned for later this year.
