Simon Rogan reveals name for new Claridge's restaurant

Simon Rogan's new restaurant at Claridge's is to be called Fera at Claridge's, and will open on 6 May.

The name, which means "wild" in Latin, aims to reflect the influence of nature and the highly seasonal ingredients that the Michelin-starred chef uses in his cooking.

Reservation lines for the new restaurant will open on 14 April.

The interior of the restaurant is being created by British designer Guy Oliver, who has a long history of working with Claridge's. Oliver is understood to have designed a room that balances the modernity of today's dining and Rogan's own natural style, with the art deco glamour of the hotel

The restaurant, which replaces Gordon Ramsay at Claridge's, will have 90 seats and a private dining room that accommodates 12.

It will offer two multi-course menus in addition to à la carte and set lunch menus.

Rogan's senior team working with him on Fera at Claridge's includes executive chef Dan Cox and restaurant director Ben Hofer.
