Simpsons launches first Eureka night

Michelin-starred Simpsons in Edgbaston is launching Eureka, an event that will give the staff the freedom to let their creative juices flow.

On 5 September between 7pm-9pm, 40 diners will be served dishes created by the chefs using unusual ingredients and techniques, giving visitors the chance to try something different from the food normally served at Simpsons.

Chef director Luke Tipping came up with the idea after sister restaurant, the Cross in Kenilworth, held a similar event.

Tipping said: "It's been an incredibly exciting year for Simpsons and in recent weeks I've had time to take stock and truly appreciate how far we've moved on since the refurbishment last autumn. Simpsons has a new approach, new style and new energy and the Eureka dinner is a fantastic way to showcase the skills and creativity of the team."

The event is the first of its kind at Simpsons, and as of yet no further dates have been confirmed.

Tickets are priced at £50. To book, e-mail: info@simpsonsrestaurant.co.uk or call 0121 4543434
