Sister Blanchette site to open in Shoreditch
The trio behind French restaurant Blanchette in London's Soho are planning a sister site in Shoreditch.
Maxime, Yannis and Malik Alary will open Blanchette East on Brick Lane in August, offering a similar tapas-style French menu to the original site, alongside more North African Flavours.
New dishes will include lamb tagine with apricots, almonds and rose harissa, and roast poussin with tarragon, alongside favourites such as crispy frogs' legs, cheese beignets and croque monsieur, according to the London Evening Standard.
Co-founder Maxime Alary told the paper: "The new restaurant will be different to the original, but there will also be plenty of similarities. It is still about sharing and still French-influenced but will be a bit more ‘Brick Lane'.
He added that it would likely be the last Blanchette restaurant as the trio weren't looking to open a chain.
