South Kensington Club appoints new head chef

Michael Lecouter has joined South Kensington Club in London as head chef.

Lecouter joins the private members' club having previously been executive chef of Mews of Mayfair and head chef of Smiths of Smithfield in London.

He will be launching new breakfast, brunch and all-day menus for the club with an emphasis on fresh, seasonal flavours and using the Mediterranean diet as inspiration, such as a new dish of 25-day dry-aged Todenham Manor Farm sirloin with chimichurri.

He said: "Having worked at London restaurants for the last eight years, I am now excited to revitalise SKC's menus and ensure members thoroughly enjoy their dining experience at the club."
