Stephen Bulmer to leave the 10 in 8 Fine Dining Group to join Swinton Park in Yorkshire
Stephen Bulmer, head chef at the 10 in 8 Fine Dining Group's Angélique restaurant in Dartmouth, Devon, is to leave the company to join Swinton Park in Yorkshire.
Bulmer, who joined 10 in 8 last January, will leave at the end of the year. He will join Swinton Park in January to head up its cookery school as chef director. He is replacing John Rogers, who is leaving to start a new venture in Kent next year.
It is unclear who will replace Bulmer at Angélique, which was previously known as the New Angel.
Bulmer said: "Teaching is my passion and I wanted to return to a job where I could focus on this 100%. I have worked before with Tom Lewis, Swinton Park's general manager, at Le Manoir, and I'm looking forward to growing the cookery school part of the business with him."
Bulmer and his wife, Joanna, ran the Brook Hall Cookery School in Winslow, Buckinghamshire, for four years before closing it to work with the 10 in 8 Fine Dining Group. Bulmer was previously chef-director of the Raymond Blanc Cookery School at Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons in Oxfordshire.
