Steve Drake reveals the name of his new restaurant
Steve Drake has announced that his new restaurant, which is set to open next year, will be called Sorrel.
Drake, the former chef-proprietor of Drake's in Ripley, Surrey, did not disclose further information about the site.
Drake left his Michelin-starred restaurant, which he owned with his wife, Serina, in August, following a divorce settlement.
At that time, he took full ownership of the Anchor pub, which was awarded a Bib Gourmand in the Michelin Guide 2017. Drake will be hosting a preview of the new restaurant for 45 guests at the Anchor next month.
Drake released a statement in his latest newsletter, which said: "The last few months have given me time to reflect on all that the team and I achieved at Drake's and I am truly grateful for the support and inspiration that so many of you provided me with. I'm very much looking forward to getting back into the kitchen and hope it won't be long before I'm welcoming you to Sorrel."
