Switch in Stow for pub-restaurant pair

The licencees of the King's Arms in Stow-on-the-Wold are moving to another of the town's restaurants.

Chef Peter Robinson and his wife, Louise, turned the pub into one of the Gloucestershire town's most popular pub-restaurants during their three-year tenure.

But the pair's lease with brewer Greene King has come to an end and they have decided to move to the town's 65-seat Old Butcher's restaurant and bar.

Robinson commented: "Our contract with Greene King had come to an end and this opportunity presented itself, so we decided to go for it." He would not reveal what he paid for the Butcher's Arms, but confirmed the long-term plan was to purchase the freehold.
