Tap & Tandoor signs for Peterborough site
Indian gastropub concept Tap & Tandoor is set to open a second restaurant in Peterborough's Queensgate Shopping Centre.
The brand has signed for a 4,329 sq ft unit at 52/53 Cumbergate, due to open later this month. The 80-cover restaurant, like its first site in Solihull, which opened last year, will offer Indian small plates, mixed grills and curries, paired with local beers, wine and homemade rose-pink gin.
The opening coincides with Queensgate's £60m extension, anchored by a 10-screen Empire Cinema and new restaurant brands.
A representative of Tap & Tandoor said: "We are extremely proud of our brand, from our humble beginnings to being present in two major West Midland cities."
Guy Thomas, head of retail at Lendlease, said: "One of our main objectives as a landlord is to support local businesses with our hands-on approach benefitting up-and-coming concepts. Tap & Tandoor's impressive expansion across the catchment area proves the success of their innovative Indian gastropub concept and we are thrilled to announce the brand will join our international dining line-up."
CBRE and Time Retail Partners represented Queensgate, Tap & Tandoor dealt direct.
