Team behind Terroirs and Brawn to launch new site in Battersea
The team behind popular London restaurants Terroirs and Brawn is set to launch a third site, with the opening of a restaurant in Battersea, south London, this autumn.
Chef-proprietor Ed Wilson (pictured) along with business partners, wine specialist Eric Narioo and manager Oli Barker, have taken over the former Giraffe site on Battersea Rise near Clapham Junction.
The new restaurant, which will open at the end of October, will be called Soif, named after the French word for thirsty.
It will have a focus on biodynamic wines and a menu similar to Terroirs and Brawn featuring English, French and Mediterranean influences.
Separately, the team is understood to be in discussions over a fourth site on St Martin's Lane in Covent Garden, likely to launch next year.
Terroirs opened on William IV Street, just off the Strand, in November 2008 and was followed by Brawn on Columbia Road in Bethnal Green two years later.
Chef Wilson was previously head chef at Sonny's in Barnes and also worked at Galvin Bistrot de Luxe.
