Team behind the Palomar to open new London restaurant

The team behind the Palomar restaurant in London's Soho is to open a new site in Neal's Yard, Seven Dials, in early June.

The new restaurant is to be called the Barbary and will offer grilled and baked dishes "from the Barbary coast to Jerusalem".

The 24-cover, no-reservation venue will not apply a service charge and will be open all day from noon until 10pm, Tuesday to Sunday.

Its launch follows the opening in May 2014 of the Palomar, which serves the food of modern day Jerusalem and is run by Layo and Zoe Paskin and fronted by head chef Tomer Amedi.

It received a series of positive reviews from critics, including Jay Rayner, who declared that the London outpost of the "achingly hip restaurant group in Lebanon… serves lovely food".
