Casual dining chain TGI Friday's has joined the Association of Licensed Multiple Retailers (ALMR).

Karen Forrester, managing director at the firm, said: "Friday's believes that in these challenging times the industry needs energetic and informed campaigning and is confident that the ALMR does that job very well."

Nick Bish, chief executive of ALMR, responded: "TGI Friday's is a reinvigorated brand that sets the highest standards and we very much welcome the company's involvement in promoting all that is good about licensed retail and the companies operating in the sector."

TGI Friday's operates 46 outlets nationwide.
