TGI Friday's opens second Aberdeen restaurant

TGI Friday's has opened a second restaurant in Aberdeen. The restaurant opened over the Easter weekend in the Union Square shopping centre.

Tim Cullum, TGI Friday's UK operations director, said: "We are really excited to have opened our latest restaurant in one of the leading retail venues in Scotland. This is a continuation of our strategy of investment in prime locations and we consider Union Square to be a key site.

"Union Square, much like our recent O2, Meadowhall Sheffield and Westfield Derby openings, represents the perfect mix of leisure and retail. We are, of course, delighted to have created 98 new jobs in the area at a time when they are increasingly hard to come by."

TGI Friday's currently operates from 49 restaurants in the UK with plans to open another two this year in the new Olympic retail park in East London and Manchester city centre.
