Thai group Patara secures fifth London site
Thai restaurant chain Patara has secured its fifth London site.
Located on Berners Street, the 4,000 sq ft restaurant will open in November with space for 100 covers.
Patara is operated by Thai restaurant group S&P, which has around 100 sites in Thailand. It opened its first UK site in 1992 on London's Fulham Road, before launching sites at Beauchamp Place, Greek Street and Maddox Street (pictured).
The group also operates Suda restaurant in Covent Garden.
The deal for the 20-year lease for the Berners Street site was done by Shelley Sandzer.
Joint managing partner Nick Weir said: "Located next door to the acclaimed Berners Tavern and London Edition hotel, this is an excellent site for Patara that is in keeping with their sophisticated cuisine and the stylish settings of their other London restaurants. We are pleased to have secured such a high profile tenant for our client and this adds to our large portfolio of completions in Fitzrovia including Maple and Fitz, Big Fernand and Portland."
