The Diner group to open ninth site in March
The Diner, the American-style restaurant group, is to open its ninth site, at number 397 on London's Strand, in March.
The 115-cover restaurant forms part of the group's widening expansion and brand development, following what it has called a successful 2015. It will be overseen by operations director Chris Todd, and hopes to capture the Strand's considerable footfall.
It serves a typical menu including hot dogs, buttermilk fried chicken, waffles, maple syrup and gravy, with side options including mac n' cheese, deep-fried potato Tater Tot Benedict, and sweet potato fries. There are also ‘hard' alcoholic shakes, classic American-style cocktails and a selection of craft beers. It also offers delivery from each of its venues.
Todd said: "The success of 2015 across our existing sites has allowed us to take the next major step in the Diner's development. We're excited by the huge potential to increase awareness of our offering."
The site, 397 Strand, was previously the location for a restaurant named New American Burger, which has been closed since at least October 2014.
