The Dockside Dining Club food hall to launch in Liverpool
A new multi-vendor casual dining food hall is to open at Mann Island on the Pier Head in Liverpool this spring.
The Dockside Dining Club, created by city operator Andy Duckworth, CBRE and owners RBH Properties, will be located on the Strand side of the Mann Island building and neighbour the Open Eye Gallery and the new RIBA North space.
Vendors will change seasonally, taking residency at ten food stalls surrounding a communal dining area.
There will be a fully licensed bar at the venue, which will be available for events and hire.
Duckworth said: "From Foodhallen in Amsterdam, Torvehallerne in Copenhagen to Dalston Food Market in London; food halls have already seen a massive resurgence in recent years. The Pier Head presents a great opportunity for a place like this. With the huge cultural agenda for 2018 for the 10th anniversary year of the Capital of Culture too, it feels like a great time to be launching."
Nick Huddleston at CBRE, letting agent for the scheme on behalf of the owners RBH Properties said: "We are delighted to lease this unit and large external terrace to Dockside Dining Club for their exciting street food market and bar concept. Mann Island is now a key hub at the Waterfront and Dockside Dining will add a key vibrant daytime and night time addition to the scheme but also intertwine with the thriving wider Castle Street and Albert Dock bar restaurant circuit."
