The Ivy City Garden to open in June

The Ivy Collection is set to open a new restaurant in London's Square Mile, the Ivy City Garden, on 7 June.

Located at Dashwood House at 69 Old Broad Street in London, the Collection's first site in the City is set over 3,335 sq ft and will have approximately 260 covers.

It will also feature a private dining room and a hidden garden for approximately 100 covers complete with its own bar and retractable roof.

The site will feature floor-to-ceiling glass windows and bi-folding doors opening into the garden. The 30-cover private dining room overlooks the garden and neighbouring Church of St. Botolph.

Martin Brudnizki Design Studio is consulting on the restaurant's interiors, as with the Ivy Collection's sister sites. Features will include an onyx bar, pendant lighting, marble floor tiles, polished parquet panel flooring and a mixture of burnt orange leather banquettes and midnight blue bar stools.

Liene Alekse-Lielpinka has been named as the site's general manager, and has previous managerial experience working across D&D London sites such as the Royal Exchange Grand Café and Coq d'Argent.

The Ivy Collection is made up of four grills and brasseries in Covent Garden, Chelsea Garden, Kensington and Bristol; and three cafes in Marylebone, Wimbledon and St John's Wood. An additional café is planned for Cobham, and plans were recently revealed for a site in Manchester. The Ivy Collection does not include the original Ivy restaurant, which is controlled by a separate company, Caprice Holdings, however both are controlled by Richard Caring.
