The Real Greek creates food portrait of the Queen

The Real Greek has created a food portrait of Queen Elizabeth II ahead of her official birthday, as it opened a new branch in Windsor.

The artwork measures A1 in size and took food artist Nathan Wyburn four hours to complete.

It is made up of ingredients including:

• 50 olives
• 30 flatbreads
• 5 dolmades
• 3 large bowls of melitzanosalata
• 3 large bowls of tomato ghaini
• 3 large bowls of smoked chilli relish
• 2 bowls of hummus
• 2 lemons
2 celery sticks

Christos Karatzenis, owner and head of operations at The Real Greek, said: "We wanted to introduce The Real Greek to Windsor by celebrating its most famous resident but with a fun Greek twist. I hope the Queen will like the portrait and appreciate the unusual use of the ingredients we use in the restaurant.

"The Queen's husband is originally from Greece which tells me she is a woman of great taste. We would gladly welcome her and her family through our doors if they ever decide to pop in for any of our traditional Greek mezze!"
