Tom and Beth Kerridge pull out of Clayton Lounge

Tom and Beth Kerridge, owners of the Michelin-starred Hand & Flowers in Marlow, have ceased their involvement in the Clayton Lounge, their second venture in the Buckinghamshire market town.

The couple opened the 150-cover Clayton Lounge in Oxford Road together with business partners Laura Aherne, formerly of the Hand & Flowers, and DJ Lennox Leech in January. While it remained as a wet-led operation, it served Kerridge's signature modern British cooking as bar food and tasting dishes, with all mise-en-place done at the Hand & Flowers.

However, the Kerridges have now pulled out of the Clayton Lounge as Aherne and DJ Lennox Leech decided to move away from the food side of the operation and pursue a more drinks-led direction.

"There has been a difference in direction between the owners as our business partners want to move away from the food production and more towards a nightclub setting," Tom Kerridge told Caterersearch.

"It's all perfectly amicable but we've decided to pull out of the Clayton Lounge."
