Tootsies to open seven more restaurants

Tootsies will open seven new restaurants by October, as part of a plan to grow the 24-strong restaurant chain to 100 sites within the next five years.

The openings will start from 1 September, and are in London's Brent Cross; Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk; Ipswich, Suffolk; Lincoln; Norwich; Oxford and Richmond, South London.

All sites are on high streets or in shopping areas or centres, and the Richmond store will be the expanding group's flagship.

The chain was bought by Urban Dining in October 2004 for more than £31m.

Urban Dining was set up by Glen Tomlinson and John Metcalf, both former directors of PizzaExpress.
