Tragus acquires Maidstone site for Café Rouge

Restaurant group Tragus has acquired a new 120-seat site in Maidstone, Kent.

The site on 42-44 Earl Street, is set to host a Café Rouge from May. It is on a 20-year lease at a rent of £55,000 with nine months' rent free.

Restaurant Property's Mark Calder, who acted for the landlord Mia's World, said: "Maidstone is proving to be a very attractive pitch for family restaurants. This site is adjacent to Zizzi's and opposite Nando's. Wildwood, Pizza Express and Prezzo are also nearby."

Tragus, which also operates brands including Strada and Bella Italia, has about 300 sites across the country. Selsian acted for Tragus.
