A Turin-based pasta specialist is set to open its first London restaurant in Shoreditch this summer.
The chefs behind the Pastificio con Cucina shop in Turin are bringing the concept to London with Savuré, a restaurant preparing handmade pasta in an open kitchen that can be eaten in or taken away to cook at home.
Over 200 pasta combinations will be available, made fresh in the Il Pastificio, a pasta lab where guest can see chefs kneading, rolling and cutting the pasta.
A wide range of Italian dishes will be available including Agnolotti Savurè, a ravioli egg pasta filled with three Italian meats, Mediterranean herbs and spices. Guests will be able to select any filling. They can also choose any sauce with pasta such as Tajarin, a long extra thin flat egg pasta dish, with options including a chickpea pasta with trionfo di verdure - a sauce made with tomato, courgettes, potatoes, aubergines and pepper - or the ragu di carne chianina - a rich sauce made with chianina beef, tomato and red wine.
The colour palette of the open plan restaurant, which will include artisanal Italian products for sale, will be a combination of white, yellow and red.
