Turner opens new restaurant at Copthorne hotel in Slough

Chef Brian Turner has opened his latest restaurant venture in a Copthorne hotel in Berkshire.

The restaurant, called Turner's Grill, opened this week at the Copthorne Slough-Windsor. It is the second operation to be opened by Turner in a Copthorne hotel - the first was at its Millennium hotel in Mayfair in 2003.

Robert Prendergast will be executive chef for the 36-seat restaurant. The menu features British classics with a modern twist, such as potted beef brisket with home-made pickles, soda bread and mustard cress salad (£6.25) for starters. Mains include marinated chump of pork, crackling, char sui and oyster sauce (£16.50) or Scottish rib-eye steak, vegetable rotunda, steak sauce (£17.25). For dessert there's baked egg custard tart (£4.75) and white chocolate trifle (£4.75).
