UK Catalanian restaurant Lunya makes several new appointments

Lunya, which claims to be the UK's first Catalonian restaurant and deli, has recruited several new members of staff following its opening in March.

Eirian Lunt, who previously worked as head chef at restaurant chain Ego, is to become head chef. Dermot Duffy will take on the role of restaurant manager; he was formerly assistant manager at the Tavern in Liverpool.

Mathew Kelly is deli manager. He set out on a restaurant career 10 years ago and has had spells at Host and Room in Liverpool.

Miguel Ángel Barceló Munar will bring his sommelier skills to the establishment and act as assistant restaurant manager.
