Urban Dining boss steps down

Urban Dining executive chairman Glen Tomlinson has resigned his position.

It follows Clapham House's recent announcement declaring its offer for the company's shares unconditional.

Tomlinson had been running the business, which owns the Tootsies chain, following managing director Andrew Bonnell's resignation in April.

Ex-PizzaExpress director Tomlinson said he was between interests presently and didn't know if he would stay within the hospitality industry for his next job.

Clapham House made a £25.3m bid for the company at the start of April.

Finance director Tim Woodcock remains as a director of the company, as does Clapham House executive director Nicholas Wong.
