US organic pizza firm opens first UK site

Jules Thin Crust, an organic pizza company in the US, has opened its first UK site in Putney, south west London.

The 60-cover restaurant on Lacy Road replaces Urban Diner and includes a basement, ground floor and first floor.

The company, which operates 10 restaurants across the US, was established more than 12 years ago by John and Jan Ordway.

It offers thin crust pizzas made with organic seasonal ingredients including roasted aubergine, portabella mushrooms, artichoke hearts, and Kalamata olive. The dough and sauces are also made fresh on site every day.

Matthew Englender of Restaurant Property was behind the deal for the 2,100 sq ft.

Strutt & Parker acted on behalf of Jules Thin Crust.
