Warwickshire buyer for Cotswold restaurant

A brand-new 15-year lease on Wheeler's restaurant in the historic North Cotswold market town of Stow-on-the-Wold has been sold to first-time buyer Alison Johnson.

The 24-seat licensed restaurant occupies the ground-floor of stone period property in Sheep Street at the entrance to a boutique shopping arcade.

New owner Johnson from Wellesbourne in Warwickshire intends to run the business as her first tearoom.

The Bristol office of Christie + Co acted jointly with local property agent Lawrence Elliott to sell the lease off a guide price of £20,000 on behalf of freeholder Dr Jordan.
