Wildwood operator increases revenue and profit by 20%
Tasty plc, which operates restaurants under the Wildwood and Dim T brands, has increased pre-tax profit by 20% to £3m.
The group's revenue also increased by 20% to £35.8m, according to preliminary results for the 12 months to 27 December 2015.
During the period, the firm opened 12 new Wildwood and Wildwood Kitchen restaurants, including its Plymouth, Hereford and Liverpool sites. It also opened one new Dim T restaurant in Whiteley and has opened a further two new restaurants since the end of last year.
The company has two sites under construction, along with a number of other sites at various stages of completion and negotiation.
Tasty said it is now preparing for an acceleration of its rollout programme, following the appointment of David Street as property director.
Jonny Plant, joint chief executive, said: "2015 was another strong year for Tasty across all aspects of the business. We continued to grow at a rapid rate, with 13 new openings achieved in 2015, taking the estate to 48 restaurants, an increase of 37% on the previous year."
He added: "The business is at an exciting stage and is well positioned to expand. 2016 will be a year of growth and investment as we lay the foundations for the future."
