Wildwood set to open its 11th site
Wildwood, the restaurant business owned by Adam and Sam Kaye's Tasty group, is set to open its 11th site.
Tasty has bought the lease of Pasta Brown opposite the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden which will become Wildwood's flagship West End site.
An assignment of the lease, expiring in 2025, was completed at a rent of £166,000 per annum. An undisclosed premium was paid on the 3,000sq ft restaurant, which will open in April or May this year.
Nick Weir, director at Shelley Sandzer who acted on behalf of Pasta Brown, said: "Bow Street is an incredibly busy area. With the draw of Covent Garden, the Royal Opera House and the soon to open uber-trendy new Balthazar from New York, Wildwood will be in great company."
The seller, Pasta Brown, opened in Bow Street in 1999, but now wants to focus on its flagship restaurant on Bedford Street.
Wildwood already has sites in: Billericay, Chelmsford, Cobham, Gerrards Cross, Gloucester Road, Hornchurch, Loughton, and Maidstone.
It has also sealed a deal for its 10th site in Epping, which has yet to open.
Restaurant Property acted for Tasty group.
