Will Ricker to launch Tokyo-inspired cocktail bar in east London
London restaurateur Will Ricker is to open a new cocktail bar this autumn, with the launch of Glo Glo's underneath the Great Eastern Dining Room in Shoreditch.
Ricker, who also owns Cicada, E&O and XO, will open Glo Glo's in October, with manager Hannah Lanfear at its helm.
Inspired by Tokyo, it will serve an extensive cocktail list as well as yakitori dishes from the robata grill created by Ricker Restaurants executive chef Neil Witney. These will include sticky pork, black salmon with sweet miso and Szechuan courgette.
Interiors will be designed by Michaelis Boyd, whose other projects have included Soho House Berlin and London restaurant Pizza East. The space will comprise a modern decor with leather finishes and namesake glowing ceiling panels.
Meanwhile Ricker will reopen Eight Over Eight in Chelsea next week after nearly a year following its closure as the result of a fire. The revamped restaurant, which has been overseen by Kelly Hoppen, will now feature an extended private dining room catering for up to 20 diners.
