Wolfgang Puck wins GQ Chef of the Year Award

Wolfgang Puck has won GQ Chef of the Year Award 2012.

Puck, who is chef founder of Cut at Dorchester Collection's one-year-old Mayfair hotel, 45 Park Lane, said: "Last year we had just opened 45 Park Lane opposite the Dorchester and I was cooking for Keith Richards when he picked up GQ's Writer of the Year award for Life.

"It's great to be back one year later and such an honour to be given an award myself. London has welcomed us warmly and I've been thrilled to see the restaurant so busy."

Dylan Jones, editor of GQ, said: "This year we celebrated bright young things and hardened hedonists shoulder to shoulder with politicians, rock stars, cinematic icons, Olympians, supermodels and natural born winners.

"The original celebrity chef, Wolfgang Puck is many of these things - and if he isn't one of them, he has certainly cooked for them."
