Woodford Green restaurant changes hands

The former Vargo restaurant in Woodford Green, West Essex, has been converted from a Mediterranean to a Greek eaterie called the Grapevine by new owner Spyros Chrysochou.

The 70-seat restaurant occupies a prime double-fronted, mid-terrace site in The Broadway in Woodford Green.

It was offered by the Enfield office of Christie + Co as either a £925,000 freehold or as a £50,000 leasehold.

The buyer opted for the leasehold option for an undisclosed sum.
