Zetter loses head chef Jones

The head chef at the Zetter in London's Clerkenwell is to leave at the end of March.

Megan Jones, also formerly head chef at Moro alongside owners Sam and Sam Clark, is leaving the hotel and restaurant to work as a private chef.

"It has been a really interesting journey at Zetter and they're great guys, but I want to travel more and have more freedom," Jones said.

The New Zealand-born chef plans to spend the summer working for a private family in Norway before returning to the UK at the end of the year.

Sophie Zarmanian, assistant manager of the hotel, said no replacement chef had yet been found but an appointment was expected in the next couple of weeks. The restaurant's menu will remain modern Italian.

Restaurateurs Michael Benyan and Mark Sainsbury, who also formerly worked at Moro, opened the Zetter in March 2004.
