Zizzi announces four new UK restaurants and entry into Ireland

Italian restaurant chain Zizzi will have opened four new restaurants in just over a month with its 188-cover Birmingham Brindley Place site due to open on 25 February.

The firm has also recently opened properties in Bradford, Birstall and Newport and plans to open its first restaurant in Ireland with a 2,800 sq ft, 90-cover site in Dundrum Town Centre in Dublin, set to begin trading in April.

The Broadway Bradford 110-cover restaurant, which occupies 2,950 sq ft opened on 16 January. It was followed by the Leeds Birstall site on 5 February with 164 covers over 4,300 sq ft.

Located in the Friar's Walk shopping centre in Newport the 3,700 sq ft site with 152 seats was the third property to open on 20 February.

The Birmingham Brindley Place restaurant will have 188 covers and has created 35 jobs.

Steve Holmes, CEO of Azzurri Group, which owns Zizzi and Ask, said: "The restaurants are all in fantastic locations and we're excited to open the doors to a host of new visitors, allowing us to showcase the full Zizzi offering including our spring menu, which launches on 15 March."

With the new openings, Zizzi will have 143 restaurants across the UK and Ireland. The company is on track to open 10 sites this year.
