French-style brasserie Revolve to open in London in May

French-inspired brasserie Revolve is due to open at London's Liverpool Street on 3 May.

Headed by chef Arran Smith, who was previously at Scott's of Mayfair and the Michelin-starred Swan at West Malling, Revolve will offer French brasserie classics with a modern twist.

This will include a three-course set lunch menu and a rotating daily special, such as bouillabaisse with baguette and aioli on Tuesdays, and cassoulet with haricot blanc and Cumberland sausage on Saturdays.

Other dishes on the menu include coq au vin with Alsace bacon and pearl onions; Lakeland rose cote de veau, caper and parsley beurre noisette; and tarte tatin.

The restaurant was created by a group of hospitality veterans including Andrew Fishwick, who previously ran acclaimed London gastropub the Truscott Arms, and Tristram Hillier, the former managing director at wine bars Corney & Barrow. They have teamed up with Romain Pottier, who helped launch London restaurants Sushisamba and Sky Garden.

Revolve is located on 100 Liverpool street, and spans two floors with space for 115 guests.

The restaurant also has an alfresco terrace overlooking Broadgate Circle, which will be available to book for private parties and events, as well as casual after-work drinks.

Live DJs will be joining the brasserie at the weekends.

Property development company British Land, who partnered with Revolve, has decorated the space with pieces by Damien Hirst and John Hoyland.

During the summer, Revolve will also offer a unique guest chef series in collaboration with the likes of Lee Westcott (formerly of Michelin-starred Pensons and The Typing Room), Josh Eggleton (Michelin-starred Pony Restaurant Group), Anna Hansen (Formerly of the Modern Pantry), and more.
