Rob Adam will drive the strategy of The Caterer brand having been named managing director
Rob Adam has been promoted to the newly created role of managing director at The Caterer.
He will lead the strategy of the brand, working alongside editor James Stagg to continue to drive the industry leading title’s editorial output and events activity.
Adam joined The Caterer in 2006, seamlessly transitioning with the title when it was acquired by Jacobs Media in 2012.
In 2021, he was promoted to the role of UK commercial director, entrusted with the leadership of the travel and hospitality sales teams, and tasked with championing best practices across both market and shaping the trajectory of sales excellence within the business.
The new role of managing director will allow him to focus solely on the development of The Caterer as the title continues to build its digital content and subscription base, events output and conference schedule.
Adam said: “I am honoured to step into the role of managing director at The Caterer, having previously served as commercial director across the Jacobs Media UK hospitality and travel titles.
“The Caterer plays a unique role at the heart of the hospitality industry — supporting operators across hotels, restaurants, pubs and contract catering, as well as the many suppliers and partners that power the sector. It is a privilege to lead such a trusted and established brand.
“I look forward to working with our team to build on its legacy of insight, connection, and inspiration, and to continue championing the people and businesses who drive this dynamic industry forward.”
