Episode one of Inside The Langham: Britain’s First Grand Hotel will air on ITV1 on Tuesday
The Langham London is to star in a new six-part documentary series showcasing the skill, passion and teamwork behind the celebrated luxury hotel.
Episode one of Inside The Langham: Britain’s First Grand Hotel will air on ITV1 on Tuesday (21 July) at 7.30pm.
The Langham opened at the top of Regent Street in London’s West End in 1865. The 380-bedroom hotel holds five-red-AA-stars and was named Hotel of the Year – Group at the 2024 Cateys.
Filmed over 10 months, the series will follow the teams who contribute to the hotel’s success focusing on their expertise, craftsmanship and dedication.
In episode one viewers, will gain an insight into how the hotel’s exterior is illuminated, how chefs deliver a charity dinner for 250 guests under the leadership of culinary director Michel Roux and how front-of-house operations are delivered.
Future episodes showcase the delivery of spectacular weddings, experiences in the hotel’s cookery school, the challenges of the capital’s competitive hotel market and the organisation of celebrations to make the hotel’s 160th anniversary.
