Stafford London appoints new general manager

Kremi McCabe has been appointed general manager of the Stafford London.

She joins the 107-bedroom hotel in St James’ Place from Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, where she was based for more than four years, most recently as deputy general manager.

Over the course of her 30-year career in the industry, she has worked across luxury brands including Jumierah, Dorchester Collection and the Lanesborough.

A LinkedIn post from the hotel group announcing her appointment stated her arrival “marks an exciting new chapter for the Stafford as we continue to build on more than a century of history while looking firmly to the future”.

McCabe said: “I feel incredibly privileged to become part of the Stafford’s story and to work alongside such a talented team. This marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter, one in which we will honour the hotel’s remarkable heritage while continuing to innovate, create memorable experiences for our guests and shape an inspiring future together.”

It comes after the Stafford London’s managing director John McLean stepped down from the role in March after a year in post, which was shortly followed by the departure of executive chef Simon Ulph to Rothay Manor.

Last month, it was reported that the Stafford London had been hit with a winding-up petition by HMRC.
