The announcement follows the sale of London department store Harvey Nichols to Frasers Group
The team behind Fallow has acquired the business operating the Oxo Tower Restaurant on London’s South Bank.
The announcement follows the sale of London department store Harvey Nichols to the owner of Sports Direct, Mike Ashley.
Harvey Nichols launched the Oxo Tower Restaurant, Bar and Brasserie in 1996 but it had been reported earlier today (13 August) that the Harvey Nichols’ restaurant within the Oxo Tower was being sold off in a separate deal.
Fallow group will work with the current team and look to enhance the operation “from 2027 and beyond”.
James Robson, executive director and chairman of Fallow, said: “We could not resist this gem of an art deco landmark. The eighth floor views are world famous and we look forward to working with the incumbent team and landlord to bring some additional character and energy back to this wonderful site.
“Initially we will look to empower the current team and then patiently tweak and give some love back to the operation from 2027 and beyond.
“This will be a work in progress and I’m excited to see how our various media and culinary teams can help bring this beloved site to full potential. We’re looking forward to working with the social enterprise landlord which sits harmoniously with our core values and B Corp standards.”
Robson opened a permanent outpost of Fallow in London’s St James’ Market development with chefs Jack Croft and Will Murray in November 2021 before opening “beak-to-feet” chicken restaurant Fowl in 2023 and Roe in London’s Canary Wharf in 2024.
The acclaimed restaurant group received B Corp certification in September 2024.
