The Clove Club to sell special vintages and crockery in archive sale

The two-Michelin-starred the Clove Club in London’s Shoreditch is to sell special vintages from its wine cellar and crockery from its dining room in a Spring Archive Sale later this month.

The sale is open to members of the public and will see the restaurant, set within the Grade II-listed Shoreditch Town Hall, offering up a collection of crockery, tableware, glassware and Japanese ceramics between 11am and 3pm on Sunday 24 May.

Works from Owen Wall, Rebecca Proctor, Royal Crown Derby and John Jenkins will be available for purchase alongside wines and special vintages from the restaurant’s wine cellar.

Guests will have the chance buy bottles from 60 different producers, ranging from Domaine François Raveneau to Domaine de Trévallon, Jérôme Prévost, Guillaume Selosse and Pierre Péters.

Older vintages and hard-to-find releases will also be up for grabs, with bottle prices ranging from £75 to £500.

Throughout the afternoon, the Clove Club will sell glasses of Champagne, pots of ice cream and pantry favourites, such as black melanosporum truffle purée, devilled spice powder, and elderflower vinegar.

There is free entry to the sale, with no bookings or tickets required. The cheapest items will start from £10.

Isaac McHale, Johnny Smith and Daniel Willis opened the Clove Club in 2013 after achieving success as a supper club.

The trio subsequently opened modern Italian restaurant Luca in London’s Clerkenwell in 2016, which has since secured a Michelin star.

In November 2024, the Clove Club group was split up, with Smith and Willis taking joint ownership of Luca, while McHale is now sole owner of the Clove Club. He has since opened Bar Valette around the corner from the Clove Club on Kingsland Road.
