The Nici is expanding into Cornwall and Hampshire with two new openings
The Nici is to expand its portfolio with two openings this summer – the Nici Newquay and the Nici New Forest.
The double set of openings follows the success of its flagship property in Bournemouth, which opened in 2022 following an 18-month transformation of what was previously the Savoy hotel.
The Nici Newquay in Cornwall will offer 82 bedrooms in the former Hotel Victoria, which overlooks the Atlantic, while the Nici New Forest in Lymington, Hampshire, will offer 118 bedrooms in the former Elmers Court hotel, located on the bank of the Lymington River.
Nici founder Nicolas Roach says: “Our aim is always to create places that feel like an escape, without needing to get on a plane. Whether it’s the sailing and estuary life in Lymington or the surf culture and coastline in Newquay, it’s about taking what makes those places special and elevating it into something that feels considered, distinctive and easy to enjoy.”
Both sites will offer comprehensive spas. The Nici Newquay will feature a clifftop pool, 20-metre indoor pool, thermal suite and seven treatment rooms and gym, and the Nici New Forest will have an indoor pool with extensive thermal and hydro experiences alongside 10 treatment rooms, a fitness studio and a heated outdoor pool.
The Nici Newquay’s signature restaurant will be the Italian-influenced Amalfi with views over the ocean, and Tucker Rocks will offer all-day dining. At Nici New Forest, guests can choose from seafood-driven restaurant Martha’s or Elms Café, which will offer more casual American-style all-day dining.
